I had never been to a gym or ever trained before I met Coach John, but he helped me understand that health and fitness should be a consistent part of my lifestyle. He made a training program based on my own needs, and on the results, I had each week. He helped me make good diet choices to complement my workouts, and were compatible with my own body. He went above and beyond by training me not only in the gym, but taking workouts outside, and even advising me on worktouts to do while I was out of town. Coach John introduced me to the fitness world. I was at my heaviest at that time when I decided to join him and started my weight loss journey. He did not leave me ever since…he knows how to motivate me and compliment my accomplishments. He knows how to challenge and push me to my limits. I met John many years ago when I joined my local gym.
I wanted to lose a stone but did not know where to start.
I thought a Personal Trainer was exactly what I needed to motivate and tell me what I needed to do. I found John.
We talked through my goals and we took measurements and John devised a plan. He said that I would become addicted to getting fit and I thought nah not me, but I did!
John encouraged me to start to run alongside the weights and cardio program he had put together.
I never thought that I could run as I suffer from arthritis. I thought I would not be able to as I had bad knees at that time. But I thought it is worth a try. So I did. Since then I have run many 10ks and many half marathons, all because John encouraged me and guided me. He helped with my nutrition and I started to eat better.
I began to see results and my confidence grew. I was becoming fitter and healthier.
John encouraged me to enter a competition. It was The Maxitone Body Ambition competition. I had to tell them my story and send before and after pictures of myself.
I was shortlisted and became a runner-up. I could not believe it. I had to go to London for photoshoots, it was amazing. My picture was on the leaflets and product labels. I had an amazing time. All thanks to John.
As the years have gone my first meeting with John turned into a lifestyle. I have maintained my weight and fitness – the goal that we set together. All thanks to him.
John has had such a huge impact on my life helping me lose weight – 20kg over about a year. He has a very balanced approach in terms of training and nutrition guidance which is why I think I’ve been successful at keeping it off over the past 4 years. I have been used to working out in group classes, but classes got boring and I needed a personalized workout to build and tone muscles without breaking the bank. When I started training with John, I wanted to be more confident and efficient with the use of my time in the gym. I achieved more than I thought was possible. My overall strength and fitness improved so much in a short space of time that I was able to perform exercises I would never have attempted before. I am amazed now at what I can lift, push and press. I have also taken what I have learned outside of the gym and have completed a marathon, which I never thought I would be able to do. I keep going back to the workout plans that he set for me and these have now become part of my weekly gym sessions. John is easily the best trainer I have ever worked with and I know his online training will be hugely successful – he deserves it.
Coach John provided structure in my workout. He taught me the fundamentals in my workout by maximizing my strengths and being able to address my weakness which is flexibility. The workout he provided me did not only make me sweat but also made me enjoy the whole experience of working out. He provided the challenge I needed for me to understand that working out is not only based on physical strength but also mental fortitude. I would recommend his expertise as he is a hands-on coach that provides knowledge and motivation.
Training with Coach John does not only get you a coach, but gives you access to a healthier, fitter lifestyle. He will not give up on you no matter the circumstances are, and pushes you harder to reach your goal until the results show. He tests your limits and amazingly allows you to discover that your body can, in fact, do more. He’s full of energy and has got so much knowledge of training. I joined him when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was in dark place didn’t know how I would cope up with my day to day routine. When I started personal training with John, slowly I was able to cope and was more happy than normal.
Then it was time to say goodbye when he had to go back to the Philippines I struggled to find a good trainer after him. He is the best trainer I had.
